The Montreal Canadiens are engraved in Claudette’s heart!

Claudette has been a hockey fan since she was a teenager. Her passion for the sport began unexpectedly: when her father was ill, she watched hockey with him to keep him company during his recovery. Those moments strengthened their bond, and that’s how hockey games became a Grand-Maison family tradition.

Now, at the age of 76, every game she watches brings back memories of her youth. Her deepest desire was to revisit those precious moments by experiencing the atmosphere of the Bell Centre and walking the Place des Canadiens, where she has a personalized commemorative brick in honour of the Montreal Canadiens centennial. Her name is engraved on it: “C. Grand-Maison, fan since 1969.”

The Chartwell Foundation cheerfully extended an invitation to Claudette and her sister to attend a Montreal Canadiens game against the Winnipeg Jets at the Bell Centre, including a VIP pregame tour, adding another layer of magic to her lifelong hockey journey.

Claudette’s sister said: “The Chartwell Foundation is an outstanding organization. In recent years, it has been a source of great joy."
